4 Days Loita Hills Trek
The Loita Hills are often called the last frontier of true Maasai wilderness. Rich in culture, wildlife, and dramatic landscapes, this trek takes you through rolling hills, forests, escarpments, and remote Maasai villages. Over four days you will experience both the raw beauty of nature and the warmth of the Maasai community.
Day 1: Nairobi to Enkutoto
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from Nairobi at 7 am. The journey heads south across the Great Rift Valley with incredible views along the way. After about three hours you will arrive in Narok town where you will stop for lunch.
From Narok you continue on a scenic two to three hour drive to Enkutoto village. Here you will be welcomed with evening tea followed by dinner as you prepare for your first night in the Loita Hills.

Day 2: Enkutoto to Njoroi

Distance: 18 kilometers
After a hearty breakfast at 7 am you embark on the longest trekking day of the itinerary. The 18 kilometer trek takes you through valleys, across rivers, and into forested areas rich with wildlife. The route offers magical views of the Loita Hills and a true immersion in nature.
On arrival at Njoroi you will be welcomed with evening tea as dinner is prepared.
Overnight at Njoroi
Day 3: Njoroi to Nguruman
After breakfast at 7 am the trek continues with a hike up the Nguruman Escarpment for spectacular views of the Rift Valley floor. From there you descend for about one hour down the ridge to Nguruman village where lunch awaits along with the chance to enjoy a refreshing river shower.
In the afternoon you trek for about one more hour to your campsite in Nguruman. Evening tea and dinner are served as you relax under the stars.
Overnight at Nguruman Camp
Day 4: Nguruman to Nairobi via Lake Magadi
Breakfast is served early at 5 am before a one hour drive to Lake Magadi. This unique soda lake is famous for its pink flamingoes which flock here to feed on algae. It is also home to several other bird species making it a paradise for bird lovers.
You will circumnavigate part of the lake which takes about one hour before enjoying a meal on the opposite side. Afterward you proceed with a one hour drive back to Nairobi, arriving between 3 and 4 pm. Drop off will be at your hotel.
