3 Days Masai Mara Safari Itinerary

The Masai Mara is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves, known for its rolling savannahs, abundant wildlife, and the legendary Great Migration. This 3 day safari offers you a chance to experience the magic of the Mara with game drives, cultural encounters, and breathtaking landscapes.

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your safari begins with a pickup from Nairobi at 7 am. The journey takes you south across the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. You will stop for lunch in Narok town before continuing on to the Masai Mara.

On arrival you check in at your camp and then head out for an evening game drive. This is your first chance to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and other iconic wildlife as the sun sets over the Mara.

Day 2: Full Day in the Masai Mara

After an early breakfast at 7 am you set out for a full day game drive across the vast plains of the Masai Mara. This is the best opportunity to search for Africa’s famous Big Five which include the lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino.

Depending on the season you may also witness the spectacular wildebeest migration, one of the greatest wildlife shows on earth.

Meals will be enjoyed at the camp and you spend another night surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast at 7 am you check out from the camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi. On the way you have the option to visit a Maasai village where you can learn about the traditions and lifestyle of the Maasai people.

Lunch will be taken in Narok town before proceeding to Nairobi where you arrive around 4 pm. Drop off will be at your hotel.
